The tat rits were located relative to
existing site features.
The ezplorations were observed by a geotectutical engineer from our ficm who maintaincd
detailed logs and obtained representative sampla of the soils encountered for fu►ther exunination
... in our labontory. The soils encountered were viswlly dusified in accocdance with the system
shown in Figure A-1. The logs of the explorations sre ptesented in Figures A-2 through A-6.
The elevations indicated on the logs aro buad on intecpolation of the topography on the
topography map provided by Schnitzer Northwest. The dencitia noted on the logs ue bued on
probing the ezposed soils with a 1/2-inch-ctiameter stal rod, the diff'icutry of digging and our
 experience and judgment.
LABORATORY TESTING
:.. All suil sampla were brought to our labontory for tuther exunination and labontory
tuting. Repraentative sampla obtatned from the ezplontions were tated to detecmine fidd
moisture content. The resultt oftie moismre contents ue presented in Figure A-7,

6 e o E n f a e e r A - 1 File No. I166-006-77-f Ilq/l I1't97
