The <br /> StormCAD progr2m sums the flows tributary to each reach (pipe) and then <br /> performs a direct step backwater analysis on the network. The steady state <br /> � energy equation (Bernoulli equation) is used along each reach (pipe) in the <br /> i <br /> network. The friction loss is calculated using Manning's equation continuously <br /> along the length of the pipe. The hydraulic grade line is calculated from <br /> downstream to upstream (as is typical for backwater calculations).
