S tson A enue P�biic Works pRp jT"'" <br /> Chicago, IL 60601-6779 <br /> Re: Water/Sewer Capacity for lot 2E, Quadrant Corporation, Seaway Center <br /> Dear Mr. Szuhaj: <br /> Thank you for your letter dated October 14, 1993, inquiring as to water and sewer <br /> capacity for lot 2E within Quadrant's portion of Seaway Center, Water and sewer <br /> capacity is available to your site but not necessarily completely in compliance with your <br /> specifications. <br /> Water. 4,000,000 gallons per month can be provided. However, the <br /> approximate static pressure is 80 psi. The supply pressure will be somewhat <br /> less than 80 psi especially under peak system usage acriods or under fire flow <br /> conditions. Therefore, the 80 psi minimum stated in your letter will not <br /> normally be available. <br /> Sewer: The specifications attached to your letter specified a monihly sewer <br /> flow of 3,600,000 gallons, one shift per day and a five day wcek. This <br /> calculates to an average flow of 346 gallons per minute while the facility is in <br /> operation. Peak usage during the course of the working day will likely exceed <br /> the average flow of 346 gpm. The sewer system serving this site, financed by <br /> The Merrill-Creek Pukway, was designed based upon an assumed usage of <br /> approximately 2.5 gpm per acre. Your proposed sewer flow of at least 346 <br /> gpm significantly exceeds the design assumption. Therefore, although the <br /> sewer system can accommodate the 346 gpm flow from your project, the <br /> balance of Quadrant's property within Seaway Center must be developed with a <br /> sewer usage not exceed�ng 2.5 gpm per acre.
