Lot 2E encompasses approzimately 10.6 acres and is located
Ion the west side of Mecrill Creek Parkway. 'Ite location of the sita is shown relative to
surrounding physical features on the Vicinity Map, Figure 1.
1 Our understanding of the proposed project is based on review of a set of preliminary design
drawings dated January 26, 1994, provided by Fecrari Design Group, and discussions with
various members of the design team. We understand that the projed will consist of development
of the eastern portion of the site, including construction of a concreta tilwp building and paved
pazking, truck maneuvering aod loading areas. The preliminary layout of the building and
I pavement areas is shown in Figure 2. 1Le footprint of the plamed building is approximately
50,000 squaze fcet. 1Le building floor will be an on-grade slab with the finishod floor at
Elevation 602 fcet. Floor loading information has not been provided, but we aaticipate losda in
the range of I50 to 250 pounds per squaze foot. Recessad rampa aze plannad along the south and
west sides of the building to altow dock-high access doors for ttucks. Based on the Preliminary
+ Grading, Drainage and Utility Plan included with the preliminary design drawings, sito gradiag
will indude cuts ranging from about 1 to 5 feet deep within the eastern poRion of the pavemeat
r area and fill ranging from about 1 to 4 fethick within the western portion of the pavement area.
Within the building area, grading will raquire cutting up to about 1 foot in the eastem poRion
, and fill ranging up to about 3 fcet in the northwestern corner.
 _
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
 GENERAL
The purposes of our services aze to develop geotechnical recommendations and design
r criteria for the proposed building and pavement areas and to research the potential presence of
subsurface contamination by hazardous materials that may ezist on the propeRy due to past on-
and off-site activities.
i
(
( G e o E n g i n e e r 1 Rk No.3266-0OZ-ROl/020394
