These comments <br />address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br />(such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2003 International Residential Code <br />(IRC) as amended by the Statc of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2003 Edition, <br />unless stated othenvise. <br />In order for the processin� of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Divis�on w►th two complete new sets of drawings reflecting <br />the corrections requested. <br />l. The 6 x 12 beam supporting the roof rafters appears to be overstressed. Provide new beam <br />size or reduce spacing of support members. <br />2. Roof rafters appear to be over-spanned. Provide altemate configuration. <br />3. Provide calculations for gravity loads on existing rafters. Trace load path to the foundation. <br />4. Proposed porch does not meet the prescriptive requiremrnts for lateral loads. Provide lateral <br />analysis for wind and scismic loading prepared by a licensed Washington 5tate Structural <br />Enaineer. <br />Plcase prepare a response lettcr showine where each item in this cortection letter is addressed on the <br />plan set. <br />Upon resubmittal of the drawin�s, your application will be eiven priority and plan review will <br />recommence.
