It has recen[ly come to the City's
attention thac roof and yard drainage from some of these lots is being
discharged near the top of the sceep slopes. This practice can
exacerbate unstable slope conditions that may already exist. Slide
activity has already occurred along the reac of some of the yard areas.
To reduce the chance of further slide activity, all roof and yard
drainage should be routed to the storm drain system in N.cbeck Avenue.
If any drains are taken to the rear of the yard areas, they should extend
to the bottom of the slope, all the way to the creek channel.
The Cicy and your neighbors would appreciate your prompt attention to
this matter.
Do not hesitace to contact us if addicional clariEication would be
helpful.
Sincerely,
Larry Crawford
Assistant Public Works Director
LC:cg/a1n1469.15
CITY OF EVERETT• 3200 Cedar Sireet • Everett, WA 98201 •(206) 2`9-8800 • Fax (206) 259-8882
c'
r
IJ:-: ."
