8/G/OS 2929 Nassau Strect wl? c� G'�S'C�G � <br />An Invcstigation at 2929 Nassau strcet was performed to dctcnninc perniit rcquircmcnts <br />for a duplcx that was crcated without pemiits and inspections. <br />Corrections/Pemiit conditiuns: <br />I) A one hour fire resisti� e scparation is requirec betwcen the hvo dwelling units. <br />This can bc accomplished by installing 5/8" gypsum wallboard on each side of the wnll <br />separating the units. A new wall will need to be constructed in thc basement area direcAy <br />beneath the dwelling separation walls abovc. Pcr section R317 IRC. <br />2) Smokc alamis shall be provided throughout both units according to seciion R313 IRC. <br />3) The main floor room in thc front (wcst uniQ that is proposed for use as a bedroom, <br />lacks an approved egress window. This room cannot be used as a sleeping room unless <br />corrections are madc to this room for emcrgency cscape and rescue per Section R310 <br />IRC. <br />4) An approvcd handrail complying with Scction R31 I.S.G IRC. shall bc providcd at thc <br />cxisting stairs. <br />5) Dcch and railing rcpairs shottld bc perfornicd at thc rcar (cast uniQ as necessary. <br />G) Replumbing of the clothcs washcr is nccessar�• as outlincd by thc plwnbing Inspector <br />at thc initial consultation. <br />7) Both hot �vatcr lanhs lo bc acccssiblc to thc respcctivc lcnanL Scismic straps shall bc <br />installed on thc hot watcr tanks. <br />S) Providc exhaust fans in tlic restrooms and hood fans in thc kitchcns (correcUy sized <br />and vcntcd) <br />9) A combination perniit for thcse corrections will bc required . In addition to the <br />corrcclions outlincd aUovc, thc work and thc building will bc subjcct to ficld inspection <br />scrutiny and approval. <br />10) A scparatc Glectrical pcnnit is requircd. The cicctrical servicc size is inadcquate. <br />Providc load calculations. Rcccptacl�. spacing is not compliant. Arc fault protection is <br />rcquircd. Smokc alamis arc rcquired. Thc scrvicc grounding and bonding is not <br />cotnpliant.
