The fence was installed in August 1987.
2. The fence is just 32 inches from our house and right in front of our
windows. This is a duplex --house in front, apartment in the back.
3. Part of the fence was installed on our property until we removed three
posts before they could finish the fence. They called the police, who
told them to have it surveyed since it was a civil matter.
4. The fence was built in spite of the fact that we had told Mr. Vardy
where the property line was ever since 1984, when he ripped out our
lilac bushes, which we had to replace with twelve Pyramidalis trees.
5. When the three posts were installed on our property, the entire side
of our trees were mutilated so they could get the posts in.
6. At last Mr. Vardy decided to have the line surveyed.
7. When we phoned the fence company to ask them why they were on our
property, and why they mutilated our trees, they informed us they
would go right through our yard, as they did what they were told.
S. If a fence company needs a business license to work in the City, it
would seem they should know and follow the code.
9. We have been trying since August 1987 to have this code enforced. I
have called at least five people and made many phone calls to the
enforcement officer to try to bring this to some solution.
Please consider these facts before you make your decision. Mr. Vardy could
have avoided all of this if he would have followed the code.
Ycur9 truly,
Kay Ozmun
