� `� <br />� <br />Code <br />INSPECTION REPORT <br />(�' <br />FROM: Marian Dent, Housing Inspector/Code Compliance Ofiicer � <br />DATE: August 5,1999 �j/ <br />SUBJ: 3006 Nassau St., Basement, Everett, WA <br />CASE: 1343-99 <br />After receiving a complaint from the tenant of this basement unit, a review of city records <br />was conducted to detertnine when the basement was converted into a dwelling unit. <br />There is no informz;ion on file for the conversion of this basement into a dwelling. As a <br />result of these findings, an inspection of the unit and exterior premises was conducted <br />and the following deficiencies noted. <br />1. The basement of this house was conveRed into a dwelling unit without <br />going through the city permit process. <br />2. The ceiling of the unit is 6 feet 9%: inches throughout. <br />3. There is only one electrical service for the building and it is inaccessible to <br />the basement unit. <br />4. There is a sump pump in the basement for the purpose of dischazging <br />waste drainage to the sewer system. Waste from ihe toilet overflows into <br />the unit when the electrical power is ofl: <br />5. The window in the room being used as a bedroom is broken and covered <br />with cazdboard. <br />6. There are dismantled bicycles, bicycle parts, wood, and wood pallets, trash <br />and debris stored in the back yard. <br />7. There is overgrowth of vegetation on the premises. <br />�b <br />
