Roof Tear off existing roofing on older main house <br />r� (excluding additions) to sheathing. Install new <br />15# asphalt impregnated felt over shaathing. install <br />new roofing ta match existing roofing on additions in <br />accordance M�ith manufacturer's installation <br />instructions. Register date of application with <br />manufacturer. Owner choice of roofing color. <br />Install continuous metal ridqe vent at ridge of main <br />house roaf. Provide clearance gap at top of sheathing <br />equal to effectine width of vent. Vent : baked - on <br />enamel finish. (Do not install ridge vent on entry <br />dormer.) <br />♦ • <br />2. Insulation Install new inaulation under floor of <br />o e�r section of house (excluding additions). <br />Insulation : R-19 fiberglass, foil or kraft faced, vapor <br />barrier to warm side. Support insulation with furring <br />strips nailed perpendicu?ar to joists, 18" O.C. <br />Install 6 mill polyetheline vapor barcier over crawl <br />space in older section of house. Lap all seama 12". <br />Install 2" rigid insulation, foil caced, Thermax or <br />equal, on rafters above older section of house. <br />Insulation sheets . installed conkinuous, tape all <br />joints with duct tape. Fit insulation tight to attic <br />joists. Secure shc�ets to rafters with all purpose <br />construction adhesive. <br />Install fiberqlass insulation, R-11, on outside wall <br />next to hot water tank. <br />.Install loose fiberqlass insulation in attic over qaraqe <br />and family room to R-30. Install gable end vents on <br />each end of attic. Vents : galvanized metal. Install <br />nailing flange flush with sheathing and trim out all <br />sides with 1 x 2 cedar and caulk. Paint trim. <br />$ l5 25� <br />3. Floors Tear up bathroom floor complete to subfloor. <br />Renlace any rotted subfloor to match layer of adjacent <br />flooring. Install new 1/2" particle board underlayment <br />over subfloor. Prep underlay for new vinyl. Install <br />new resilient vinyl sheet goods over underlay, no <br />seams. Material allowance for vinyl : E14 per sq. yd,. <br />retail. Install new wood trim, pre-finished, at base. <br />Caulk along tub and W.C. InstaTl edge bar at door. <br />$ /95-°° <br />4. Walls Tear out all wall surface� in bathroom. <br />install new 1/2" gypsum wallboard, Type-X around tub <br />area, on all walls. Tape and spackle for application of <br />5`�8 wallpaper. Owner . install wallpaper. Reinstall <br />bathroom accessories. <br />
