Preparation for the placement of <br />the pavement section should include proof rolling of the graded and exposed surface. Proof rolling should <br />be done under the direction of GES, Inc. Any yielding soil discovered during proof rolling should be <br />removed to a maxinuun depth of two-(2) feet and be replaced with 2" to 4" crushed rock. All subgrade <br />preparation work should comply with WSDOT Standard Specification section 2-06, Suhgrade <br />Preparalion and meet all applicable recommendations given in previous sections of this report. All <br />pavement work .uul product should conform to applicable sections of WSDOT Standard Specification <br />section 5-04, A.3pholl Conc•rele 1'orenrenl. Upon an approved and proof -rolled subgrade, we recommend <br />utilizing the following pavement sections: <br />d0a1111111++ llin.eze fior (Tires ''U- asphalt +s 1.5' in rolal thickness <br />4.9 Erosion Control Measures <br />Best Management Practices (BAW".$) as outlined in the Washington State Department of Ecology's <br />Storm Water Management Manual for the Puget Sound Basin should be applied during the <br />construction phase of this project. Erosion control measures should also comply with WSDOT Standard <br />Specification section 8-0I, Uacian C•anlral. Construction erosion control measures should he insneeted <br />and approved by GES, Inc. prior to the stall of any .rite grading, cutting or filling as outlined in section <br />4.2 of this report. Permanent erosion control .should be insrtlled as soon as possible after completion of <br />work in the area I lydroseeding and placement of Excelsior matting or straw should be performed in <br />accordance with methods described in the standard specifications. <br />15 GES, Inc. <br />
