October 28, 1981
Department of Natural Resources
Division of Technical Services
100 Capitol Center
Olympia, Washington 98504
SUBJECT: 1022 Mukilteo Blvd; Everett, Washington,
as:
th Evr.ryrr^n
CITY OF
everett
CIiY MRII • ZSPB)5
evenEn, wnsaHcror+
saxoi
USP[CTION OEPRRTMENT
legally described
Maple Heights 2, Lot 18, situated in the County of Snohomish
County records indicate that the State of Washington is the owner oF the
above referenced property.
In April of th'is year I talked with Harold Villager, Jim Peters and Larry
5weeney, all of the Department of Natural Resources, and explained to them
the condi:ions of the structure on the above property. There seemed to be
some question as to which division of the epartment of Natural Resources
the property was in. We discussed the necessity to secure the structure
and all were in accordance. Once it was determined which division the
property was in, the structure would be secured by the office responsibla.
On August 19, 1981, I talked with Howard Hanson of DSHS and explained to
him the difficulty in getting the structure secured. He, in turn, tslked
with Jim Peters who said the structure had been secured and would be secured
once again.
Over the past several months I have been policing the area and have not
seen the structure secured. An inspection of the structure again on October
20, 1981 revealed the structure setting •:ide open.
Durig the inspection several deficiencies of the structure were noted which
may be deemed detrimental to the public, as defined in the Uniform Nousing
Code. These conditions may be considered sufficient to declare the structure
sub-standard and, subsequently, it has been posted as "Illegal to Occupy".
Some of the deficiencies noted are listed on Page Three of this letter.
Your immediate attention is necessary to remedy these conditions. Please
advise this office within ten days of the action you plan to take to accomp-
lish this.
The i3uilding Inspection Department welcomes the opportunity to assist you
in answering any questions you may have concerning this inspection.

H

N M
H '*J

z
H H
N

[] H
m

.

H
N
