both provide for a more comfortable and contemporary living <br />space and avoid the overcrowding in the present house in <br />which the rooms are extremely small, but will also enable <br />the applicant to take some advantage of the view ava�lable <br />to the north. Said addition would be entirely consistent <br />with the type of structures which have been built and/or <br />remodeled along Mukilteo Boulevard in the surrounding <br />vicinity. The adjacent residential dwelling structures, <br />both to the east and west of the applicant property will <br />still project further in a northerly direction than the ap- <br />plicant's structure when completed. In addition, the pro- <br />posed addition will essentially replace the carport presently <br />located on the property at about the same points, as can be <br />determined by comparing the site plan for the proposed addi- <br />tion with the plot plan showing the existing carport. The <br />applicant has conferred with the property owners to the <br />north, east and west, Mrs. Vernon Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. <br />Robert Divers and Mr. and Mrs. John Iiayes, respectively, <br />none of whom have any objection to the proposed plan. In <br />addition, the applicant proposes to have a deck projecting <br />from the resident-ial structure, to the north, to enable the <br />occupants to nave some outdoor area for enjoyment of their <br />property and the vieca, similar to that enjoyed by other <br />property owners in the vicinity and for which there is <br />relatively little area, otherwise available, convenient to <br />-3- <br />
