both provide for a more comfortable and contemporary living space and avoid the overcrowding in the present house in which the rooms are extremely small, but will also enable the applicant to take some advantage of the view ava�lable to the north. Said addition would be entirely consistent with the type of structures which have been built and/or remodeled along Mukilteo Boulevard in the surrounding vicinity. The adjacent residential dwelling structures, both to the east and west of the applicant property will still project further in a northerly direction than the ap- plicant's structure when completed. In addition, the pro- posed addition will essentially replace the carport presently located on the property at about the same points, as can be determined by comparing the site plan for the proposed addi- tion with the plot plan showing the existing carport. The applicant has conferred with the property owners to the north, east and west, Mrs. Vernon Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Divers and Mr. and Mrs. John Iiayes, respectively, none of whom have any objection to the proposed plan. In addition, the applicant proposes to have a deck projecting from the resident-ial structure, to the north, to enable the occupants to nave some outdoor area for enjoyment of their property and the vieca, similar to that enjoyed by other property owners in the vicinity and for which there is relatively little area, otherwise available, convenient to -3-
