If the variance is denied, an unnecessary hardship <br />will continue with respect to use and enjoyment of the property. <br />The bedrooms are located on the second floor and are presently <br />very small and, because of their configuration, will not <br />readily accommodate modern bedroom furniture. The existing <br />structure was constructed in approximately 1926 and was laid <br />out so that the only bathroom is located on the first level <br />below the bedrooms and is extremely small. Because of. the <br />existing configuration of the residence, no one bedroom is <br />sufficient in and of itself and it is extremely inconvenient <br />to have to utilize the bathroom on the floor below. Further, <br />the house as constructed does not take any advantage of the <br />view available in the manner enoyed by the surrounding <br />properties. idoreover, the existing driveway and entrance <br />and exit to and from Mukilteo IIoulevard is somewhat hazardous <br />and the hazard could be substantially reduced by permitting <br />the construction as proposed. The proposed addition would <br />allow the construction of a master Uedroom and bath on the <br />second level, an enlargement of the kitchen and a family <br />room off of that, all located in the same approximate location <br />-5- <br />
