providing ingress and egress to and from Mukilteo Boulevard <br />slops downward to the north at an extremely steep grade and <br />provides some hazard to persons entering and exiting to and <br />from the property. <br />With the construction of the improvemeiits pr000sed, the <br />existing driveway would be leveled, substantiall1 reducing <br />the hazard incurred in connection with entering and exiting <br />the property. There is presently existing a level driveway <br />running east and west at the south side of the house which <br />will be retained to allow a turn around for vehicles backing <br />out of ihe garage so that it will not be necessary to back <br />directly onto Mukilteo Boulevard. <br />Other properties on t•lukilteo Boulevard in the same <br />vicinity, especially the next two properties to the west, <br />have encountered similar problems and have been permitted <br />to construct garages closer to the south lot line than that <br />proposed by the subject variance application.
