Muki).teo Blvd., thence Northeasterly <br />along the Western boundary line of said Mukilteo Blvd., 169.00 feet <br />to the point of beginning. <br />NARRATIVE STATEMENT: <br />I4e are asking a variance to accommodate the conditions of the accomp- <br />anying Site plan as prepared by R.T.King, architect; specifically the <br />req+iest for rear yard variance from reauired 2G' to that of 18'. I <br />just recently acqu�red the house from the mortgagor �aho had to re- <br />possess the propezcy from the previous and original builder. in so <br />doing 2 have had to assume the problems creat2d by the original builder <br />who either did not understand '�he problems that faced him or did not <br />have the expertise to solve these problems. In any event, the house <br />foundation is not exactly nlaced upon the site as it sould have been <br />and it would be very difficult to move the house and its foundation <br />at this time; almost impossible, and certainly economically infeasible <br />to do so. <br />The h�use has been sitting for sone time in a very unsatisfactory state <br />of incompletion; an eyesore to all of the ,.eighbors. It would be much <br />better for everone concerned to allow the minimal variance request than <br />to let the house continue to set anfinished or to pay some one to <br />demolish it. <br />The site has a considerable slope towards the Southwest and presents a <br />spectacular view of Puget Sound. The house is well sighted and will be <br />a great asset to the neighbors once it is complete. The somewhat larger <br />decks which extend a few feet beyond those oriqinally designed are <br />needed due to the fact the much of the site is oE steep grade and its <br />use impractical f.or outdoor family use; other than landscaping features. <br />The original designer did not pay attention to the requirements for <br />window washinR capabilities as the upper floor windocas are about 34 feet <br />above the lowest grade on the T.9est. I do not consider this variance to <br />be anything exceptional or special; but necessary to allow me to solve <br />some otherwise unsolvable problems.
