Davies <br />3209 Rockefeller Avenue <br />Everett, Washington 98201 <br />SUDJECT: DEMOLITION ORDER FOR 137 MUKILTEO f30ULEVARD, <br />EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br />Dear Mr. Davies: <br />I have received a copy of your letter to the Everett City Council <br />dated April 13, 19a1. <br />CITY Oi <br />everefii: <br />C�tY H<LL • 450b115 <br />WU�Cii.l'IASNIHGiON <br />BB1t1� <br />uisrcctiori o[rnarueNr <br />I have discussed the issues involved with .ludy daker, Council President, <br />and have agreed not to proceed with a call for bids for demolition of <br />the building until the first day of July, 1981, which you indicated in <br />your letter to be sufficient time for making the required repairs. <br />As I pointed out to you in our recent telephone conversation, the <br />Demolition Order was issued based upon Council's action and the Duilding <br />Department is obligated to proceed with the Order. However, with the <br />Council's concurrence, we will delay any action until the first day of <br />July, 19II1. <br />I believe the City of Everett has been more than lenient with the owners <br />of this building over the past five years. We wi11 be monitoring the <br />building activity and report to Council on a weekly basis. <br />I trust that with our mutual cooperation the building will be completed <br />by the first of July. <br />Yours very truly, <br />Y.enneth W.
