March 10,2003
Everett Public Works
3200 Cedar Street
Everett, WA. 98201
RE: EXPIRING PERMITS
Everett Public Works Itr. dtd. March 7, 2003
Job Address:
Permits:
1907 Mukilteo Blvd.
60205-018 (Convcrt carport to garage)
E0209-080 (Electrical for garage)
I am writing regarding the 180 day clause of suspended or abandoned work on the
above listed project. Before the receipt of your letter I was not aware of this clause in
the UBC. Thank you for making me aware of this provision.
Last fall, by the time the perimeter foting was installed the weather turned too cold for
the stain to dry on the new siding even though I attempted it on a few boards during
some of the sunny days. The stain manufacturer recommends the temperature be at
least 50 degrees or above to dry. The new cedar siding is in the garage waiting for the
weather to cooperate. I plan to apply the stain before I install it on the garage to get a
good complete application. I plan on doing the above work myself.
Henry's Electric has completed the wiring on the house panel & it is ready for
inspection. The two lights on the front of the garage can be installed prior to the siding
installation. As oted on the inspection report, when they are installed I can call for a
final etectrical inspection.
Per your letter at this time I request a 180 day extension on the psrmits to complete the
electrical work and also to give me time to complete the siding as planned.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Sincerely, _,
( — >
James V.
