Undaiying soils typically <br />consisted of approximately 4 to 7 fat of loose, silty sand with vecyiag gravel content, <br />ova firtn W drn�e, silty sand with less gravel. <br />S�irfaa CondiHon� <br />• Giles perfoc�n� a visuel crconmissance of s�uface conditions along the slopes t6et border <br />the site on the nocth and east Ducing the reconneiuence, several raxnt landslides were <br />noted immediately below the e�tisting residence, as well as along slopes adjacent to <br />neighboting properties, <br />Slope Movement Risk Rednction Measures <br />• Avoid placement of addidonal fill soils, yard wasce, scockpiles of const�ucdon materials, <br />or any other surcharge weights on or above site slopes. <br />• Consider removal of existing yard waste from the top mergins of site slopes, and consider <br />removal of the rockery and fill wedge from beneath t6e dxk. <br />• Replace the existing drain line ihat discherges on the slope east of the house with a Gght <br />line that extends to the bottom of the siope. <br />• Control site surFace water and subsurface dtaina8e discharges to minimiu the amount of <br />wata reaching the slopes on the nocth and e�st sides of the sik. Route founde6on drains,. <br />roof drains, and surface water to dght line discharges that extend to suitable discherge <br />locations such as municipal storm drains or the bottoms of the slopes. <br />• Consider providing lcak conteinment or leak protxtion measures for the outdoor spa on <br />the nonh side of the house. <br />• Perform rcgular inspection, maintenance, and repair on site drainage systems. <br />• Instali a french drain at the top edge of the slopes on the north and east sides of the site. <br />
