These commenu <br />address building issues only, add��onal revis�ons or additions may be required by other departments <br />(such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Uniform Building Code, as <br />amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1991, 2nd Edi6on, unless <br />stated otherwise. <br />F <br />1. The proposed residence does not meet the prescripdve requirements for wind and seismic <br />� bracing as specified in SecUon 2517(g)3 of the Umform Building Code (UBC). Provide <br />structural analys�s prepazed by a licensed Washington State Structural engineer for wind and <br />seismic forces. <br />2, The actual percentage of glazing (21.5'%) exceeds the alllowable glazing percentage (21 �'o) <br />for the compl�ance path ind►cated on the plans. Provide new compliance path or submit a <br />component performance calculation to show compliance. Also, you may be elibible for a <br />payment from the electric utility if your house is heated with a heat pump and meets the more <br />stnngent electric resistance cod: requirements of the 1991 Washington State Energy Code. <br />3. Specify all post/beam posdfooting, beam�'beam connections. A positive connection is <br />required for uplift and iateral sypport per Section 2516(m) UBC. <br />4. T'he footing for the post in the garage is shown in a different locadon than is shown on the <br />floor plan. <br />5.
