It is our understanding, on the lower shear walls, the exterior shear wall <br />sheathing extends down over the rim joist and breaks at approximately mid point of the rim joist. A filler <br />strip ot sheathing extends from the mid point of the rim and terminates at the bottom of the mud sill. The <br />plan specified LTP4 clips may be eliminated it the edges of the sheathing are nailed along the rim joist <br />following the nailing requirements (rom the shear wall schedule. Additionally edge nailing is required along <br />the bottom edge of the filier sheathing to the mud sill plate.
