Marine Vew Drive
Plan Check No: 80202-034
Regarding: Your Memo of 5 March, 2002
The requested 2 new sets of drawings are enclosed. Regardin you specific concerns,
items, 1 through 5: y f 7 r 5 -(' 7
Item 1. (Proposed usage for the floor and loft spaces , this proposal and future): The first
floor is to be a fruit market, virtually identical to Mr. Kjolso's current market, within a chain
link fence and under a plastic tent, at the same site. The loft space is to be used for light
storage of office supplies, bags, and boxe, etc., to support the fruit market.
Item 2. (Cross section of the wall or guardrail at the edge of the loft): Section B-B has
been added to sheet 2 of the drawings, calling for a wall of 7/16 OSB plywood over 2xn
girts, 24" OC, at the edge of the loft. As noted on sheet 1 of the drawings, a similar, but
shorter, wall will be added along the east side of the loft where it would otherwise be open
to the space below.
Item 3. (Plan should include gutters and downspouts) These have been included on sheet
3 of the drawing.
Item 4. (If any portion of the building is to be heated.......) No portion of the building is to
be heated. As with the current operation, it is to be an "open air markeY'. The building will
provide shelter from rain and wind and allow the market to be secured when not open.
Item 5. (The calculations for the 6x12 posts.....) Summit Engineering has addressed this
question and their notes are also attached.
Sincerely
Jim Spane
Spane Buildings Inc.
%
