. � � � C, <br /> 23. One available fire hydrent is required. It shall be located within 200 driving feet <br /> but no Goser than 50 feet of the structure. <br /> 24. M approved automatic supression system (sprinkler) shall be provided as <br /> requirecl by City Ordinance No. 1902-92, Chapter 16.76, of the Everett MuniGpal <br /> Code. <br /> Plans for any such system must be submitted to the Building DepaNnent end the <br /> Everett Fire Depertment for examination and approval. .Such plans must include <br /> plans for the underground mains that will supply the spnnkler system. <br /> As of January, 1991, aprinkler system permits are issued by the Building <br /> Department. Plan review fees are assessed by the Buildine Department. No fee <br /> is assessed by the Fire Department. <br /> Above ground sprinkler piping must be hydrostaticaily tested as established in <br /> NFPA Standard 13. Unde�ground piping must be hydrostatically tested and <br /> flushed as established in NFPS StandaM 24 for private fire mains. All such tests <br /> must be witneased by a Fire Department inspector. Call 259-8710 to make en <br /> appointment for inapection. <br /> Contractors' materials and test certificetes must be submitted to the Everett Fire <br /> Department prior to issuance of any Certificates of Occupancy. <br /> Call 257-8120 for more iMormation. <br /> 25. The buildinq must have an approved automatic fire detection system inatelled as <br /> required by City Ordinance No. 1902-92, Chapter 16.76, of the Everett Municipal <br /> Code. The fire alarm system shall be installed in accordance to NFPA Stendard <br /> 72. <br /> 26. A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum UL rating of 2-A:10-B:C must be <br /> provided within 75 feet travel distance on each floor of all portions of each <br /> building during construction and prior to occupancy. <br /> 27. Fire lanes must be provided as required in Everett Municipal Code 46.44. Fire <br /> lanes must be identified by red curbs with white stenciling siating NO PARKING <br /> - FIRE LANE" and vertical signs stating "NO PARKING - FIRE LANE - TOW <br /> AWAY ZONE" Location must be approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 28. The premises must be clE,arly identified by address at the sVeet entry. The <br /> building must be clearly id�entified so as to be visible and IeQible from the access <br /> road. Each suite must be. clearly identitied so as to be visible and legible from <br /> the access road. <br /> 29. When access to or withm a structure or an area is unduly difficult because of <br /> secured openings or whers immediate access is necessary for life saving or fire- <br /> fighting purposes, the �ire Department may recommend or require a key box to <br /> be installed in an accessible locatio�. A rapid entry system may also be <br /> desirable in order to avoid unnecessary damage while makmg entry to any <br /> building during an emergency situation. <br /> Please call 259-8726 for further information. <br />
