The International Building Code and the International <br /> Residential Code provide that all permits expire by limitation if the work authorized by the <br /> permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after work is commenced for a period of 180 days. <br /> If you wish to prevent this permit from expiring without documentation of completion, you may: <br /> 1) Request inspections of work that has occurred,to document continuing progress, <br /> or 2) Request final inspections of the work that is complered, <br /> or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension, detailing justifiable cause for <br /> extension. <br /> Please respond within 10 days.
