The action of our excavator;.
removal of the trees and bracing would most certainly compromise
the integrity of the old well and failure of the material
backfi l led up to the house foundation ,
A revised shoring wall alignment detailed the new wall location
approximately 3 to 7 foot down slope of the fir tree alignment . we
believe this will allow for a safer installation and et the same
time maintain the integrity of the old wall and backfill up to the
house foundation
Our procedure under this revised plan would allow us to top the fir
trees and leave the stumps in place: We would then remove the top
timber portion of the existing wall and some beckfill and use this
material to build a temporary bench for the excavator to work on,
we would leave as much of the old wall bracing in place or tebrace
the wall off of the tree stumps . The new beams can be safely
drilled and installed with the tree stumps and old wall in place,
Once the beams are in place, the lagging and backfill can be place
_: :..nctar:rently with the removal of the stumps and old wall .
Marine Construction Dredging Pile Driving
j ant STREET EVERETT, WASHlNOTON 98201 • PHONES-EVERETT CO} *EDAM., EEATELE Om) U: r11G-P MS) 324.4163
