February 21, 1979 p17 <br />i <br />Councilman Michelson felt this was an unnecessary expense as the uicy <br />already had their six -year street plan, etc. and Mr. Yiarren replied these <br />were two different things. The city will benefit from interfacing some <br />of the city problems with problems imposed by the state highway department <br />and the c, Ity system. <br />Councilman Baiter asked if the study would help the staff in preparing the <br />six -year street plan and Mr. Warren replied yes. <br />Councilman Langus felt this should be delayed for six months until Presi- <br />dent Carter had announced his energy saving program in transportation. <br />Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Pope to approve the <br />initiation of this study and request the staff to prepare for budgeting <br />the amount of $15,520 in 1980. <br />Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilmen Langus <br />and Michelson who voted no. <br />Motion Carried <br />TEMPORARY BUILDING (CB792-72) <br />Moved by Councilman Baker, seconded by Councilman Gipson to approve the <br />request of Everett Boat House and Marina, Inc. for building a temporary <br />structure on their property at 1001 14th Street. <br />Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br />Motion Carried <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY APPLICATION (CB 92 73)' <br />Moved by Councilman Pope, seconded by Councilman Baker to grant permission <br />to the Everett School District to use the right-of-way for removal and <br />replacement of a 10,000 gallon fuel storage tank at 2716 McDougal. <br />Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br />Motion Carried <br />JOB ACCEPTED (CB792-74) <br />Joe Rozlovski reported the Senior Citizen Center had been completed with <br />the exception of approximately $11,000 worth of acoustical material to be <br />placed, in the large auditorium, etc. He felt this job was ready for <br />acceptance and commented that it had come in under the budget as originall-. <br />set. <br />Moved by Councilman Langus, seconded by Councilman Pope to accept as <br />complete the construction of the Senior Citizens Center by Beta Construc- <br />tion Company. <br />Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br />notion Carried <br />
