This building was constructed under Building Permit Number 18757; issued to M. C. Gohl Construc- tion Company on December 9, 1974. You attention is invited to Section 304(d)4 of the Building Code which states: "FINAL INSPECTION: To be made after building la completed and ready for occupancy." and Section 306(a) of the Building Code which "states" in part: "No building or structure in groups A to H, inciusive, shall be used or occupied, and no change in the existing occupancy classi- fication of a building or structure or portion thereof shall be made until the Building Official has issued a certificate of occupancy thereof as provided herein." According to the condii-ions of this permit the columns in the west exterior wall were to be of one -hour fire -resistive construction and the complete auto- matic fire extinguishing system in compliance with the building code, as the addition enlarged the building in excess of the allowable area as provided in Chapter 5 of the Code which we understand has not been installed. You can understand that we can not allow these violations to go uncorrected. therefore we are compelled to notify you to immediately proceed to complete the building by providing one -hour fire -resistive protection to the referenced columns and the installation of the automatic fire extinguishing system and have the building inspected for occupancy.
