TAYLOR'S REQU�ST TO CONSTRUCT A 6-FOOT IiIGH CHAIN LINK FENCE ON CITY STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY AT 2332-33RD STREET - �xplanation n��: Mr. Ray Taylor is the President of Pacific Concrete Pumping, Inc. The business is .located at 2i-�L 33rd-Street which is on t�,e southwest corner of 33rd Street and McDougal Avenue. Upon leasing this property, Mr. Taylor had a 6-foot high chain link fance constructed adjacent to the sidewalk along 33rd Street and on the property line along McDouga3 Avenue. Mr. Taylor expressed he had understood that whatever per- mits were necessary had been obtained by the contractor installinq the fence. He was not aware that a permit caas necessary to install a fence upon the City street ri�ht-of- way. Mr. TaS�lor requests that he be allowed to maintain the 6-foot high fence in il-� present location in order to provide sufficient storaqe �pace and security for his company's vehicles. Mr. Taylor's application for a permit has been circulated through the various departments and resulted in the follow- ing comments: 1. The location of the fence along 33rd Street confli�ts with the present estahlished polic�� of not a'lowing a fence to be constructed upon Cit� street right- of-way when commercial usage is ir.volved. 2. The location of the fence at the southwest conier of 33rd Street and McDougal Avenue creates a sigl�t clearance ohstruction. Chapter 15.04.'100, Corner Lots--Sight Clearance, of the City Zoning Code re- quires that within 15 feet of the lot Tine inter- section� no obstruction may be over 42 inches in height.
