He also questioned
the requirements for the new street improvements, status of existing improve-
ments, private use of Public R-O-W and continuous maintenance of the new improve-
ments when they were installed.
The proposed waterline extension was discussed and Mr. Bargreen expressed a
desire to have his contractorinstall the waterline and coordinate the connection
to the existing system on Pacific with the City. Mr. Bargreen will submit a plan covering
the proposed water line for the City's review and approval along with a request for
the return of his $6,463.56 deposit for said installation.
Mr. Bargreen was concerned over the maintenance and deterioration of the existing
street surface. There is an indication that the asphalt pavement is deteriorating
from the use and activities that are being carried on by the Slater property on
the west side of the R-O-W. Mr. Bargreen is afraid that if some action is not
taken to protect the new improvements which he plans on installing, the same
deterioration would take place.
Don Lind and myself checked the site on 6/20/79 and noted that the street surface
has deteriorated from the activities carried out by the Slater property and the
drainage conditions.
I would suggest that the City contact Slater and discuss the present condition,
Bargreen's proposed improvements and the protection of the new improvements.
[ would also suggest that any sidewalk where trucks will be allowed to
drive over be a minimum of 6" and any driveway built over the allowable width
per code be considered and approved by Council.
Present: Sam Bargreen
Clair Olivers
Don Lind
Fred Oehlert
cc: Hugh
Herb
Marv
c,..:.,.
