A4r Harold 'Nhiton <br />H 0 Seiffert Co <br />24�J0 Hewitt <br />Everett� Washington <br />Dear Sir: <br />Jnnu�ry 3�, i967 <br />hE: 60)5 Paine �treet <br />Everett� d�a�hing:on <br />�n answer to your inquiry on the condition of the wiring in the house <br />at tha above address: <br />Prior to remodeling it was rejacted Por nct meeting the minimum re- <br />quirements of the National Electric�.l Code 3nd being a fire hazard. <br />Wire connections were found to be r�c'e by hooking one wire over another <br />and held together by a slight strain and tape. The connections were <br />not made in an approved �nner <nd soldered. Splices were not made <br />as required by Section 300-15 of the N.E.C. Viire sizes in the kitchent <br />utility and dining room were smsller ihan permitted by Section 220-3(b! <br />of the N.E.C. Also� there was an insufficient number of outlets as <br />required by Section 21U-22(b) of the N.E.C. The heat circuits were <br />found Fo be in excess of the rating on the thermostats - in violation <br />to Secti�n 210-23�b)� N.E.C. The service equipment and conducior size <br />did not meet the requirements of Section 230-?��g) or Section 230-41 <br />of the N.E.C. <br />� did �ot attempt to go into c'etail with the elcctrical conir�ctor zs <br />I told him there was enough ��viden'. to reject the wiring and all must be <br />brought up io the code standard. All these deficiencies were called to <br />be corrected - Sections 12(b) and Section 17� Ci{y of Everett Ordinancc <br />NQ118. <br />A re-inspeetion was rrade upon competion of the rough-ii, electrical work <br />and the correctione called for had beer. m�de.
