Letter to Nelson (924-99) <br />August 11, 1999 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />In addition, the driveway has been altered to exceed the allowable width and does not meet City <br />standards. <br />• Section 19.34.060 (n of fhe Everott City code states that the width of driveways for single- <br />family dwollings cannot exceed twenty feet within the required front yard setback areas, <br />• SecHon 13.16.020 of th- Everett City code provides that no person, firm or corporadon shall <br />remove, alter or construct any curb, sidewalk, driveway approach, gutter, pavement or other <br />improvement in any public right-of-way wi}hout first obtaining a permit from ihe city <br />engineer, end no permit will be granted m�til the applicant files with the city engineer for his <br />anF;oval a copy of a drawing showing the location and siu of all such proposed <br />improvements. <br />� Section 13.16.070 (C� of the Everett City code states that all drive:vy� approaches <br />constructed pursuant to a pen.�it shall be constr�cted in accordance with the city <br />specifications and under the supervision of the city engineer and any portion or whole that <br />does not comply with the city specifications shall be removed and replaced whea so directed <br />by the city engineer. <br />II. Corrective Action Reauired • <br />To eliminate this violat.,,n, you must obtain all applicable permits fcr the construction of the <br />retaining wall on the notth side of your property and for the retaining wall on the south side of <br />the driveway, and for the driveway and driveway approach. Information regarding permit <br />application requirements, time frames and code information may be ob•.ained at 3200 Cedar <br />Street, second floor, or by calling (425) 257-8810 between ilie hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., <br />Monday through Friday. <br />CorrecHve Action must be fully completed on or beton September 6, 1999. You may avoid <br />the hearing described in Section III if you fully complete the cotrective action by the above date. <br />III.
