( <br />CITY OF EVF.RETT <br />PLANNING DIRECTOR DECISION <br />Review Process II #99-031 <br />November 19, 1999 <br />Tl�e City of E�•erett Planning Department approves a request by Ameron Intemational <br />to constn;ct a 13,400 square foot roof structure to store concrete poles for drying at <br />1130 W. Muine View Drive with the following requirements. <br />1. A fire hydrant is required within 200 driving feet, but not closer than 50 feet, of <br />every structure. Location of the 6ydrant(s) shall be approved by the Fire Mazshal. <br />2. A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of 2-A:10-B:C shall be <br />provided within 75 feet of travel on all floors of each building during construction <br />and prior to occupancy. <br />3. An approved automatic fire detection system shall be provided as required by Ciry '' <br />Ordinance No. 1902-92, Chapter 16.76, of the Everett Municipal Code. Plans for <br />such system shall be submitted to the Fire Marshal for review and approval prior to <br />installation. Submittal shall include cut sheets of all equipment intended for use. � <br />Appro��riate uip tests, witnessed by a Fire Department inapector, shall be performed, . <br />along w�!h a cercificate of completion, prior to final acceptance of the system. Fire <br />alarm systenw shall be installed according to NFPA Standazd 72. Fire alarm systPms `j <br />shall be ins+alled under permit of the Ciry of Everett Building`Depaztment. Electrical { <br />inspections and approval are required prior to calling for acceptanc,^, tests. Call (425) ' ? <br />257-8810 for permit information. <br />4. An approved automatic suppression system shall be provided �s required by City `� <br />Ordinance No. 1902-92, Chapter 16.76, of the Everett Municipal Code. Plans for � <br />any such system shail be submitted to the Building Department and the Everett Fire '� <br />Department for examination and approval. Such plans shall include plans for the 'i <br />underground mains that will supply the sprinkler system. Aboveground sprinkler ' <br />piping shall be hydrostatically tested as established in NFPA Standard 13. �� <br />Underground piping shall be hydrostatically tested and flushed as established iu I <br />NFPA Standazd 24 for private fire mains. All such tests shall be wimessed by a Fire ' <br />Department inspector. Call (425) 257-8123 <br />for more information. <br />Subsection 38.030.D of the Ciry of Everett Zoning Code allows for the Flanning ': <br />Director through Review Process II to approve or disapprove an expansion of a . <br />nonconforming use provided that the expansion does not exceed 25% in building � <br />azea, complies with all other requirements of the zoning code, and that the , <br />nonconformity has been certified by the Planning Department. In 1990, the M-S .. <br />zone was established which prohibits non water dependent manufacturing uses. The '` <br />use was in existance prior to 1990 and was certified under NCU /t99-006. <br />.� <br />� <br />
