PORT OF EVERETT <br />W MAR�NE VIEW DR <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />Section 8-02.3(11) Bark or Wood Chip Mulch is supplemented with the following: <br />Install weed•control barrier in all planter beds prior to applying bark mulch. <br />Mulch backfilled surfaces of all new landscape pianting beds as shown on plans. <br />CIP NO. 3-0-003-09 <br />PROJECTNO. <br />PD-WM•20006-01 <br />Organic Mulch: Apply 3-inch average thickness of organic mulch, and finish level with adjacent finish <br />grades. Do not place mulch against piant stems. <br />Install Rounded River Rcek in areas as shown on plans. <br />Rounded River Rock shall be 1"-3" in size and free from various rypes of wood waste or other <br />extraneous or objectionable materials. <br />Treat rounded river rock bed areas with granular pre-emergent herbicide following manufacturers <br />recommendations. <br />Instali weed fabric in rounded river rock bed areas. <br />Install rounded river rock to a depth of 4' and finish level with adjacent finish grades. <br />Section 8-02.3(13) Plant Establishment is supplemented with the (ollowing: <br />Warcanty periods below are examples only for some categories oi exterior plants; revise to s�it Project. <br />Period for Trees and ShNbs: 12 months from date of Substantial Completion. <br />Period for Ground Cover and Plants: 12 months irom date of Substantial Completion. <br />During the plant establishment period, remove dead exterior plants immediately. Replace immediately <br />unless required to piant in the succeeding planting season. <br />Replace exterior plants that are more than 25 percent dead or in an unhealthy condition at end of the <br />plant establishment period. <br />A limit of one replacement of each exterior plant will be required, except for losses or replacements due <br />to failure to comply with requirements. <br />In the last paragraph, fill in the blank in the first sentence with "1". <br />Section 8-02.3(15)D is supplemented with the tollowing: <br />This work shall consist of placing mulching at a deplh of 2 to 3-inches thick or 2-3 tons per acre when <br />required. <br />Page 34 of 50 <br />
