15 <br />Taxes), fees, licenses, excises or paymenu mquired by any city, federal or state <br />legislation which are now or may during the term of the Agreement be eaacted as to all <br />persons employed by the Con�actor and as to all duties, activities and requirements by <br />the Connactor in performance of the work on this project and under this Agreement and <br />Contrnctor shall assume exclusive liability therefore, and meet all requirements <br />thereunder pursuant to any rules or regulations that aze now or may be promulgated in <br />connecdon therewith. <br />13. Nondiscrimination. The Contractor shall comply with the regulation relative to <br />nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development, Title 24, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 135; Department of <br />Labor, Title 41, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 60-1.4(a); and/or the Department of <br />Transportation,�Title 49, Code of Fedenl Regulations, Part Z1> whichever az� applicable, <br />as may be amended from rime to time (hereinafter referred to as their respective <br />regulations), which aze herein incorporated by reference and made a part of this <br />Agreement. <br />The Contractor shall not discriminate on the grounds of mce, creed, color, sex, <br />marital status, age or national origin in the selection and retention of subcontractors, <br />including procurements of materials and lease of equipment. The Contractor shall not <br />participate either direcdy or indirectly in discrimination prohibited by the respective <br />reg�:lations, including employment practices when the Agreement covers a program set <br />forth in the respecrive regulations. <br />14. Citv of Everett Business License. Contractor agrees to obtain a Ciry of Everett business <br />75 <br />license prior to performing any work pursuant to this Agreement. <br />t <br />
