All calculations are
made on the base pressure of 35 psi at the meter outlet, and pressure correction
factors are included in Table 4.2 to assist the estimator in adjusting data from the
graphs to the slanJard minimum delivery pressure o(his utility.
Fixture Values
A fixlure valuc is a quantily in terms of which the demand producing effects on the
plumbing system of Jifferent kinds of plumbing fixtures are expressed on some
arbitrarily chosen scale. A table of thesc values is included that represents the flow
demand of each fixture when it is operated witltout the interference of other units. As
an example, a b:thtub was filled normally with no other fixture in use at 35 psi
downstream of the meter to obtain a(low rate of 8 gpm, so a value of 8 was assigned
this item. T'Iese values are shown in Table 43, and the estimator can casily obtain the
z,
:a
:7
70
Ifl
E iG
 IA
E 2
 lp
8
c
a
a
0
r-
b
Z
0
c
%
 N
R F
 o ' i
/ +
L l_.1_- _1
1 . l J
u

a
0
i
 c
O
/
+
r
o E X
' vi u
 '-
 3
o
s¢
+ Fiell fiecoMnq
Conm Cnuui, Te

6 1 8 9 10 11 17 17 14 15 1G 17 IB 19 70 71 7? 7d 7i ?5
r.w« w,n vm<
Fig. 4.2.
