PORT OF EVERETT SSCfION 01300 <br />PUBLIC ACCESS AND TRANSIENT MOORAGB SUBMITTALS <br />B. 'il�e nWmed submittal will indicate one of the following acaons: <br />1. If the review indicaoes that the mateiial, equipment, or work method is in <br />general conformence with the design concept and complies with the contract <br />drawings and spxificafions, the submival copies will be muked "NO <br />BXCBPTIONS TAKEN". In this event the Contractor may begin co implement <br />the wodc method or incoiporate the material or equipment covered by the <br />submittal. <br />2. If the review indicates that the submittal is insufficient or that limited <br />cocroctions are requirod, the submittal copies will be mazked "NOTE <br />MARIQNCiS". 'Ihe Conhactor may begin implementing the work method or <br />incorporating the material or equipment covered by the submittal, in accordanoe <br />with the noud conoctions. Where submittal info�ma6on will be incocporated in <br />operadon and maintenance data, a cornc0od copy shall be provided within 30 <br />days, otherwise no further action will be requirod. <br />3. If the review reveals that the submittal is insufficient or contains incoirect data, <br />the submittal copies will be marked "COMMENTS ATTACHED". If the <br />comments are of a nature th,�t can be con5rmed without a resubmittal, the <br />submittal copies will be further marked "CONE7RM". If the comments require <br />a revision and resubmittal, the submittal copies will be further marked <br />"RESUBMIT". Except at his own risk, the Contractor shall not undertal�e <br />work covered by this submittal until the attached comrtxnts have been eitha <br />confumed by a separate written communicadon or the submittal has been <br />revised, resubmitted, and returned marked either "NO EXCEPTIONS TAKEN" <br />or "NOTE MARKINGS". <br />1.6 EFFECT OF REVIEW OF CONTRAGTOR'S SUBMITTALS <br />A. Review of drawings, methods of work, or informadon regarding materials or <br />equipment the Contractor proposes to provide shall not relieve Conoractor of his <br />responsibility for errors therein and for failure to comply with the Contract Drawings <br />and Specifications and shall not be regarded as an assump6on of risks or liabiliry by the <br />Owner, or by any officer, employee or consultant of the Owner. Contractor shaU have <br />no claim under the Contract because of the failare, or partial failure, of the method of <br />work, material, or equipment so rPviewed. A mark of "NO EXCEPTIONS TAKEN" <br />or "NOTE MARKINGS" shall mean that the Owncr has no objecdon to the Contractor <br />using the plan or method of work proposed, or providing the materials or equipment <br />proposed. <br />1.7 SUBMTI'TAL CONTROL DOCUMENT <br />A. The Contractor shall prepare and submit to the Engineer within 10 days after rxcipt of <br />notice to proceed, a Submittal Control Document listing all items for which submittals <br />are required. <br />01300-3 <br />
