EXISTING DRAINAGE CONDITION
The proposed site was created by filling of shallow tidelands with dredge material from the
Port of Everett Marina construction project. The site generally slopes towards the marina
with surface sheet flow draining directly over the site and down the rock bulkhead. Runoff
from the paved surfaces surrounding the Chamber Building is collected via catch basins and
routed to a stormwater outfall.
oi'15 I
' The existing storm drainage outfall is located at the no st comer of the project site. This
outfall provides drainage for approximately two thirds of the existing South Marina parking
' lot as well as the Chamber of Commerc: Building. The existing catch basins within the South
Marina parking lot have elbow -type floatable material separators. In addition, a large baffle
type oil/water separator is located in the last manhole of the storm drainage system prior to
' discharge.
The runoff from the western third (near Marina Village) of the South Marina parking lot is
' routed to the west, through a Port -owned oil/water separator, and then through a Navy -
owned oil/water separator before discharge into Snohomish River.
' Storm drainage systems from Norton I AvqnuE Terminal, south of 1 Sth Street, were previously
routed to the outfall at the northwesic Wer of the project site. As part of the redevelopment
' for the Navy Homeport, stormwater runoff from the former terminal was rerouted to the
south.
Storm drainage runoff from West Marine View Drive is collected in a separate city -owned
collection system.
I
1
I
