More specifi,;ally, restaurants with occupant loads over 50 (A-
3 occupancy classification) require a separation from hotels (R-1 occupancy
classification) but not from an office use (B-2 occupancy classification). This particular
separation is required to be an assembly tested to achieve a one -hour fire resistive
rating.
The above described requirements were in effect prior to the construction of this
building, have remained unchanged and are included in the current edition of the
building code.
If you have any questions, please call me at 259-8810.
ZL
Tim Tyler
Building Official
Tryuayc(&pmr-a)
CITY OF EVERETT• 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (206) 259-8800 • Fax (206) 259-885J
