The <br />Uniform Building Code provides that all permits expire by limitation if the work authorized by the <br />permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days at any time after work is commenced. If <br />you wish to prevent the permit fror.: expiring without documentation of completion, you may: <br />1) Request an inspection of work that has occurred, to document continuing progress, <br />or 2) Request final inspection if the work is completed, <br />or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br />Please respond within 10 days. After that time the file will be sent to our Records Department for <br />microfilming without final approval.
