End joints shall be <br />IocoleA on centerline of truss chords, slaggered in each <br />layer and between base layer and finish layer minimum 24 <br />inches (610 mm). The base Iayer shall be altached directly <br />lo trusses with 1 s�a-inch-long (41.3 mm), Type S drywall <br />screws with Dond Washers spaced 12 inches (305 mm) on <br />center. The base layer is faslened to channel sets witli <br />Bond Washers and Type S, 1-inch-lonc� (25.4 mm) screws <br />on 8-inch (203 mm) conters, driven through the crease <br />between adjacent wallboards. The fnish layer shall be <br />fastened lo trusses wilh 2 iw-inch-lonc� (57 mm) Type S <br />drywall screws on 8-inch (203 mm) cenlers. <br />An altemative installation using resilienl cliannels consisls <br />o( lwo layers of irz-inch-Ihick (12.7 mm).
