July 31, 1981 <br />ATTACFAIENT 1 <br />Responses to the "Conditions Attached To The Kaiser Project 19i7 �nd Appli- <br />cable To ;he htodule Fabrication Site." <br />In general w� agree with the proposed conditions except for the following: <br />Item <br />2 Condition <br />There shall be a means of reducing tlte polluting potential of surface <br />runoff, generated from any impervious surfaces, which is discharged <br />into Port Gardner Bay. Requirements meeting the NPDES program will <br />be acceptable. <br />Com���ent : <br />There are no significant additional impervious surfaces involved in <br />this project. Runof: will be absorbed by a crushed rock and gravel <br />surface over the site. There would be no increase in surface water <br />runoff. The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) <br />program was not list=d as a requirement for our Shoreline Permit. <br />3 Condition <br />Length axis of buildings shall be ori�:nted perpendicular to Norton <br />Avenue. <br />Comment• <br />All buildings will be oriented perpendicular to Norton Avenue. (The <br />modules are not buildings). <br />4 Condition <br />Prior to construction permits being issued for buildings, a land- <br />scaping plan shall be developed addressing the following areas: <br />a. parking area <br />b. boundary between the assembly area and the proPosed marina <br />c. along the west edge of Nnrton Avenue from 16th Street to <br />21st Street. <br />Comment: <br />All buildings or� the site are ternporary, and no landscape plan should <br />be required. <br />
