The exis[ing subs[ation si[e and eleven adjacen[ ci[y lo[s of block 617 will be :equired for the proposed new substa[ion. i'hese lots are currently zoned M-1, and are vacant except Eor six lets with houses. All houses are vacant excep[ for one. All houses will be purchased and removed as part oE the West Marine View Orive street widening project which is a separa[e project. B. Descripcion oE proposed use, essencial elements and functions: The purpose of this reqnest for speci�l property use is to allow the District permission �o relocate and reconstruct an electrical discribution substa[ion on proper�y contained in Block 617, lots 16 through 29 as described in the Plat of Evere[t, Division °'G", recorded i.n Volume 4 of Plats, Page 41 oE Snohomish County, Washing[on. The Ci[y o[ Everett is Widening Ues[ Marine View Drive [o provide betr.er access roadWays into [he U.S. Navy's Home Port Base area. They will be acquiring a 19-Eoot wide s[rip oE the substa[ion property adjacen[ [o the existing roadway. This Will require the Dis[rict [o relocate [he subs�ation, supply lines and 12.Skv distribu[i..n Eeeders in the vicini[y of the substation. The neW substation will be designed [o provide provisions for an[icipa- ted future eieccrical needs. The Dis[rict is re-designing the existing s[a[ion and associated di=_tribu[ton and [ransmission lines and coordina[ing the relocacions and conscruc[ion to meet tt�e City's roadway schedule. Presently, the District plans to dismantle the e>;iscing substa[ion during npril, 1990 and construc[ [he new substation by Oc[ober 1, 1990.
