PUBLIC NOTICE PROCEDURES <br />Before the Determination of Non -Significance (DNS) issued for your proposal <br />becomes final, a 15-day public comment period is required under WAC 197-11-340 <br />and 510, which became effective October 1, 144. After the 15-day comment <br />period, the DNS may be retained, modified, or withdrawn based on the comments <br />received. <br />Public notice procedures which initiate the 15-day comment period consist of <br />publishing in The Herald and posting the site. <br />Publication: <br />The responsible official (of the City) shall be responsible for publishing <br />notice in The Herald. The responsible official shall take all reasonable <br />measures to publish notice in The Herald within five days of the issuance of a <br />DNS which requires public notice. <br />Posting: <br />The applicant shall be responsible for posting the property for site specific <br />proposals. Four copies of the notice form are enclosed. Please fill out and <br />post the notices in the following manner: <br />1. One copy of the notice must be conspicuously posted on the nearest <br />improved public right-of-way (street or alley). <br />2. Two co+iss of the notice aunt be conspicuously posted on the site in <br />locatiocs which are readily observable from adjacent public <br />right-ot-way or adjacent property (whether developed or undeveloped). <br />3. The fourth copy of the notice must be signed by the applicant and <br />notarized and returned to the Environmental Coordinator, City Hall, <br />3002 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, WA 98201. <br />The 15-day comment period on DNS's which require public notice shall begin <br />upon publication of notice in The Herald or upon the date shown on the <br />notarized copy of the notice of posting, whichever date as later. <br />0443E <br />
