Proclamation <br /> Whereas, public works services are an integral part of our everyday lives; <br /> and <br /> Whereas, the support of an informed community is vital to the efficient <br /> operation of public works.systems and programs such as those managing <br /> water, sewers, solid waste, streets and surface water protection; and <br /> Whereas, the health and safety of our community greatly depends on these <br /> services; and <br /> Whereas, the quality of these services, as well as their design and <br /> construction, is vitally dependent upon the efforts and skills of public works <br /> officials, and <br /> Whereas, the efficiency of qualified and dedicated public works personnel <br /> is influenced by the community's attitude and understanding of the <br /> important work they perform; <br /> Whereas, we will celebrate this work with a Public Works Expo from 10 <br /> a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday June 3 at the Everett Mall; <br /> Now therefore, I Ray Stephanson, Mayor of the City of Everett, proclaim <br /> June 3, 2006 as <br /> Public Works Day <br /> in the City of Everett in recognition of the public works services provided <br /> each day to our community <br /> Signed this 31st day of May, 2006 <br /> Mayor Ray Stephanson <br />
