Provide a clear description of the project to be financed in part by a Drinking Water <br /> State Revolving Fund loan. (Attach additional sheets if necessary): <br /> The work will provide for the design and construction of a second <br /> 5 million gallon clearwell and associated facilities at the Everett <br /> Water Filtration Plant. These facilities include a new clearwell <br /> control structure; a new vault to house a flow meter, sampling pump, <br /> chemical feed points; approximately 100 feet of new 84 inch parallel <br /> pipeline from filters to clearwell control structure; new wash water <br /> pipelines; new rapid drain system; and new baffling geometry for <br /> Clearwell No. 1 to match that of the new clearwell. <br /> The work scope for the project includes environmental studies, <br /> geo-technical investigations, project design, permitting, construction, <br /> and management. The new design will conform to current seismic and <br /> other building codes. All new facilities will be constructed on City <br /> of Everett property. <br /> 2. The term of this loan will be based on an engineer's certification of the expected <br /> useful life of the improvements, as stated below, or 20 years, whichever is less. If <br /> the recipient prefers the term of its loan to be less than either 20 years or the useful <br /> life of the improvements, the preferred loan term should be <br /> indicated: 2.S years. <br /> 3.
