As such, Everett participates as a key member of the <br /> Central Puget Sound Water Suppliers' Forum along with all of the major water supply organizations within <br /> Snohomish, King and Pierce Counties. The Forum coordinates and performs regional water supply activities <br /> within this three county area. One of its most recent activities has been to contract with the University of <br /> Washington to improve short-range streamflow forecasting for the streams feeding our water supply storage <br /> facilities such as Spada Reservoir. In 2006, the Forum is initiating an update of the three-county regional <br /> water demand forecast and an assessment of the regional water supply options for meeting long-range water <br /> needs taking climate change into account. <br /> The annual revenue needed by the Forum is $300,000. and Everett's allocated share is $65,000. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign an annual Project Funding Agreement with the Central Puget Sound Water <br /> Suppliers' Forum for the sum of$65,000. <br /> 96 <br /> C:\Documents and Settings\SuClark\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK7D\CPSWSForum2006.DOC <br />
