CITY OF EVERETT Ordinance No. 869-82 Abandoned and Junk Vehicles . on Private Property On June 9, 1982, the Everett City Council passed Ordinance No. 869-82 providing Por abatement and removal of wre�ked, dismantled or inoperative vehicles ar automobile hulks or parts thereof from privat� property. The following sections of Ordinance 869-82 apply to the vehicles situated on your property: 1 . Section 2-A of the Ordinance provides as follows : All wrecked, dismantled or inoperative vehicles or automobile hulks, whether abandoned or not. placed or situated upon private property within the City limits shall constitute a crimfnal violation and shall be sub3ect to the penaltie� as set forth in Section 1� of this ordinance and are also public nuisances to be abated as provided in this chapter; provided, however, that this chapter shalt not apply to : A. A vehicle or part thereof which is completely enclosed within a buildi�g in a lawful manner where it is not visible from the street or other public or private property; or B. A vehicle or part thereof which is stored or parked in a lawful manner on private property in connection with the business of a licensed vehicle dealer, fenced according to the provisions of RCW 46.80.130. 2. Se�tlon 1-C of the ordinance defines "Automobile Hulk" as `ollows : "Automobile hulk" means any portion or portions of a . mc�or vehicle which is inoperative and cannot be made mechanically operative without additional vital parts and a substantial amount of labor.
