Phase 1 and Phase 2 have been completed and this year's Biosolids and Backwash Solids removals are the final Phase(Phase 3)of operations in this Contract. . The City has recently created a new biosolids handling pad in the oxidation pond at the Water Pollution Control Facility(WPCF). This biosolids handling pad is approximately 900 feet from the biosolids handling pad previously used for Phase l and 2 of this Contract. This change in pad location has created a significant change in operating conditions for the biosolids removal portion of Phase 3 of the Contract. Due to changes in operating conditions at both the WPCF and the Water Filtration Plant, the items detailed in this Change Order will be needed to complete the final Phase of this Contract. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Change Order#8 to the Biosolids and Backwash Solids Removal Contract at the Water Pollution Control Facility with Synagro in the amount of$143,053.18. 15
