Our previous <br /> recoum�endations had been to excavate down thru the organ'c material <br /> to firm natural ground; holes should be 1 ' in diauieter and tied <br /> by steel to slab. <br /> The cantractor had complied with our recommendations and excavated <br /> and pl:;�ed 1 ' diameter paper cylinders on 8' ceieters throubhout <br /> the baeament area. They ranged in depth fram 2 ' in garage area to <br /> 3.5 ' under the bssement area.
