CHAPTER 3 <br /> Retail Demand <br /> Downtown Everett has experienced strong growth in several retail and service <br /> sectors. <br /> Over the next 20 years, downtown will continue to grow and reinforce its role as <br /> the urban retail center of Snohomish County. It should continue recent trends, <br /> with growth in all sectors as the surrounding trade area grows. It will build on its <br /> recent success as the entertainment enter of the county, with the stronger growth <br /> and increased market share in selected sectors, such as restaurants and <br /> entertainment, as well as specialty retail (including apparel and miscellaneous <br /> . retail) attractive to urban dwellers.
